Kitesurfing the Torres Straight
Story
On 12 July we are attempting the hardest thing we’ve ever done in our lives
Our team are kitesurfing across the Torres Strait (the body of water between Queensland and Papua New Guinea) – a world first – to raise $100,000 for McGrath Foundation
We will kitesurf all day, every day, for five days sleeping on uninhabited islands
Every member of the team will attempt this individually - this is NOT a relay! There will be attrition and some people won't make it. Success here is as many people as possible making the distance
100% of donations towards our $100k target go to the McGrath Foundation

MCGRATH FOUNDATION
As you know McGrath provides breast cancer care nurses, and in the Torres (which has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Australia) McGrath is also providing a scholarship for a local to become a care nurse. All of our team - as would many of you - have family members affected by breast cancer – and McGrath does an amazing job helping at a very difficult time.

Activity
McGrath Foundation
The McGrath Foundation raises money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia. Our highly qualified nurses help individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer by providing physical, psychological and emotional support, for free.
From the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment, McGrath Breast Care Nurses are there to help. While over 110,000 families have been supported since 2005, more nurses are needed to meet the growing rate of breast cancer diagnosis in Australia.
With your help, no one misses out on care. Visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au to find out more.
